Using the Media Manger for Image and Document Files#
Managing image and PDF files for a website is an important step in maintaining and updating content. Below you will learn various ways to work with files through the Media Manager—your website's repository of files.
Accessing the Media Manger#
There are several ways to get to the Media Manager. Below are different ways to access it.

Media Manager - Top Left Link#
- Open the Media Manager by selecting the icon in the top left corner of the CMS next to the icon.
Media Manager - on Page Link URL Field#
- To the left of the Link URL field on the page, click the icon to open the Media Manager.
Media Manager - WYSIWYG Editor#
- When adding a link via the icon in the WYSIWYG editor, select the icon to the right of the URL field.
Link to Files - Uploading to the Media Manger#
Upload files to the Media Manager—the repository of files—in a couple different ways.
Helpful Tip: Replace an old file (e.g. yearly application) with an updated file by saving it with the exact same file name and overwriting the old file. This helps you to avoid having to replace every instance where the file is linked.
Media Manager - Upload File Via Upload Button#
- Navigate to the folder you wish to upload the file to.
- Click the Upload button located in the top row of the header.
Locate the file(s) on your local machine and click “Open” or “Select” to continue. - You can select multiple files using the control and shift keys, depending on your system.
- The file(s) you have selected will now be uploaded and appear in the file list.
Media Manager - Upload File Via Drag & Drop#
- Navigate to the folder you wish to upload the file to.
- Drag & drop from your computer into the window.
- You drag & drop multiple files from your computer.
- The file(s) you have selected will now be uploaded and appear in the file list.
Link to Files#
Create simple file links with hyperlink text, buttons, etc.
Helpful Tip: Replace an old file (e.g. yearly application) with an updated file by saving it with the exact same file name and overwriting the old file. This helps you to avoid having to replace every instance where the file is linked.
Linking to a File - Link URL Field#
This step presumes you have uploaded the file you want to link to already.
- Click the the icon next to the Link URL field.
- Navigate to the file you wish to link file to.
- Click the checkbox next to the file.
- Click the Insert button.
You can also skip the checkbox/Insert step and simply click on the file directly. - Click Save.
Linking to a File - WYSIWYG editor#
This step presumes you have uploaded the file you want to link to already.
- In the WYSIWYG editor click the the icon.
- In the Insert/Edit Link window click the icon next to the URL field
- Navigate to the file you wish to link file to.
- Click the checkbox next to the file.
- Click the Insert button.
You can also skip the checkbox/Insert step and simply click on the file directly. - Click Save.
Helpful Tip: When linking to a PDF, you can choose to have it open in a new window by selecting "Open Link In... > New Window" in the the Insert/Edit Link window.
